Peak Season:
Manila is becoming more popular as a holiday destination for Australians, especially during the dry season which runs from December to May. January to March is the busiest period as the weather is cooler with temps in the low 30s. Travellers book cheap flights to Manila as a jumping off point to explore the Philippines’ islands but many stopover in Manila to enjoy its cultural attractions, excellent shopping and cosmopolitan nightlife. Easter and Christmas are busy times to fly to Manila, and annual festivals, which can affect flight ticket prices and availability, include the Feast of the Black Nazarene in January, Cocoa De Flores in April and Flores de Mayo in May.
Off Season
It’s best to avoid travelling to Manila during typhoon season which is July to October. Look for cheap flights to Manila either side of this period. June and November, though likely to be wet, are considered ‘transition’ months so there’s a good chance the weather will be favourable.

If weather is an important factor for your trip to Manila, use this chart to help with planning. For those seeking warmer temperatures, April is the ideal time of year to visit, when temperatures reach an average of 29.0 C. Travellers hoping to avoid the cold should look outside of January, when temperatures are typically at their lowest (around 26.0 C).
The cheapest flights to Manila may be during September and October but this is a risky time to travel being typhoon season. The month of May can also be too hot for many people, with sweltering temps in the mid-30s, so always take the weather and your health into consideration when booking flight tickets to Manila.

The business class cabin is really nice - EXCEPT the two interior seats have no divider between them - which makes for a bad experience -especially when the person next to you coughs excessively with no protection. Basically, the person is looking at you and coughing at you the WHOLE FLIGHT. Most major airlines have a sliding divider you can close for privacy and safety reasons. The window seats do not have this problem - so if you book business class and are traveling solo - make sure to get a window seat - I didn't and regretted it.
