My experience with Alaska was excellent. However, I originally booked with Hawaiian, confirmed my reservation three days before our departure, but wasn’t informed they had canceled my reservation. I didn’t find out my family didn’t have tickets until the flight was about to board and the Alaska staff brought it to my attention. We would not have been able to go on our non refundable vacation had it not been for the flight crew who worked to help me purchase tickets for the flight at the gate. Hawaiian was called multiple times but said they were unable to help or offer an explanation or apology. Ultimately, I paid $1,500 more for the flight I thought I had already purchased. It was incredible stressful for myself and my three children who were traveling with me. I am appalled at Hawaiian’s lack of consideration and abysmal customer service.
