Complete bait & switch operation. I booked a reservation for 4 days that came out to $208 online. When I got to the rental counter, the actual cost was about $100 more because of mandatory liability insurance that was not mentioned when making the reservation. The daily insurance rate was more than daily rate of the car itself and they would not waive it even though I have American Express Platinum which is supposed to cover incidentals. If the fee is mandatory then it should be displayed in the original price when you search online. They trick you in to booking them for a low rate and then you are stuck in the middle of nowhere with no other options because the rental office is off-airport, forcing you pay whatever they tell you. There is also a $1,000 security deposit for the car which is more than I've ever had to put down. I was given a 2020 Hyndai Elantra and the high beam brights did not work which was extremely dangerous when driving on dark narrow roads in Barceloneta. The car did not have wiper fluid in it which made driving even more dangerous with the sea salt that accumulates while driving. Friendly staff but awful company and policies, would never use again.
